Former Xtreme Couture standout Gray Maynard has now decided to switch fight camps and make the transition to the American kickboxing Academy in San Jose, CA.  The former #1 contender in the UFC lightweight division has made the switch in preparation for his bout with Clay “The Carpenter” Guida at UFC on FX 3 in June.

Maynard during this time has informed the press that the move was nothing personal against Xtreme Couture but that he knows he should gain experience training with other world class athletes and highly respected trainers.

The former three time All-American now finds himself adding to an already impecable stable of world class wrestlers along with King Mo, Daniel Cormier, Jon Fitch and former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez.
