Rashad Evans and Michael Johnson earn victories for The ‘Blackzilians’ at the UFC on FOX 2
Led by Mike Van Arsdale and Rashad Evans, the Blackzillians are a new force to be reckoned with in the MMA world. By imbedding specific values and principles amongst team members, the Blackzillians are taking the tried-and-true methodology of MMA training, and have given it their own unique twist, so as to achieve desired results. Present Blackzillian team members include JZ Cavalcante, Melvin Guillard, Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson, Matt Mitrione, Miguel Torres, and TUF season finalist Michael Johnson.
Johnson as well as Evans, chalked up sweet victories at the UFC on FOX 2, solidifying Van Arsdale’s newly acquired nickname for the team “The Takers”. There are already so many top flight training facilities in the MMA community as it is now, so finding the right group of people that can allow you to reach your full potential is becoming a prerequisite. When you request the assistance of such revered strikers as Tyrone Spong to sharpen your stand-up skills, you are looking in the right direction.
It shouldn’t be too long before we start mentioning the Blackzillians in the same breath as Jackson’s, King’s MMA, American Top Team, and Xtreme Couture, if they keep putting forth efforts like Evans and Johnson did at the UFC on FOX 2. They may be onto something special.
